My name is Ming. Um. Okay, if I had to spend a whole post in my own blog, I think it would be full of abstract mutterings. Things like
The darkish, green dewlapped grass scraped off a patch for itself in the middle of gloomy farmland glens and sat fenced in stony silence, thick as barbed wire. It grew to and past the edges of it. The farmer nearby knew of it, but pretended not to see, but it enwreathed itself further, bit by bit, till at last it was too glaring to ignore its constant probing.
My prose isn't exactly enchanting, nor is it supposed to be. A bit of alliteration but that's it. Jia yun made it a point not to state things too directly, so if you can see past what I mean - anyway it's pretty much obvious- well, um, good for you I guess. But yeah, that's it. My post is pretty much to introduce myself, and reflect a bit. Volleyball was something I did a bit when I was younger. I played just for the fun of it. And I was pretty bad. Still am but I try to improve. I wasn't really great physically. We had a talk yesterday from Jia yun. He talked a lot about character, um, all that jazz. I haven't really done the trivia yet. For my time in the volleyball team, it has definitely been a different view to me. Never really done sports like that before.
Volleyball, I guess, is really much about teamwork. I guess you might think of it as clockworks with all those gears and cogs. They all mesh together perfectly and the clock runs fine. If a gear gets too big, its cogs disrupt the rhythm and thus even though it's hard, you might want to get a new one. I never really had much teamwork stuff back at school, table tennis was really all the sports I did. I guess I saw how here, everything was like cogs, leaning on each other and driven by the battery. And if one gear gets too big it falls apart. Though there always has to be a gear that starts the chain reaction.
I'm being whimsical, I know, but at least that's a start.
